ILO - International Labor Organization. The Coalition focuses on the transformative power of social justice in promoting cohesive and productive societies, reducing poverty, hunger, inequalities and social tensions.
April 13th - 17th, 2025 Meeting of the UNESCO World Book Capitals networkThe City of Torino participated in Strasbourg in the annual meeting of the
UNESCO World Book Capitals network and in the international conference "Ecology of Books". The event also represented an opportunity for institutional meetings and visits to the local library system. Torion joined the network in 2022.
April 9th, 2025 Kick off meeting of the ECCAR networkECCAR - European Coalition of Cities Against Racism network has launched a new working group on equality, inclusion and participation of Roma with a virtual kick off meeting.

April 2nd - 4th, 2025 Kick off meeting of the ClimaGen projectThe City of Torino participated in Trondheim, Norway, in the launch event of the
ClimaGen project, financed by the Horizon Europe programme, which unites 9 European cities (Belgrade, Gdansk, Tartu, Torino, Trondheim, Cluj-Napoca, Eindhoven, Gernika and Thessaloniki) to improve climate resilience and support the transition to low-carbon cities and regions.
April 2nd - 4th, 2025 Eurocities Digital Forum MeetingDuring the Eurocities
Digital Forum Meeting in Bordeaux, the City of Torino took part in the Digital Forum Labs, created to develop common solutions on the topics of innovation and urban development. Torino was selected as coordinator of a lab on ethical boards for emerging technologies and AI. The other members of the lab are the Cities of Eindhoven, Helsinki, Cologne and Amsterdam.
April 1st - 2nd, 2025 Final event of the Scale-UP and Move21 projectsThe City of Torino participated in the final event of the European
Scale-UP and
Move21 projects in Brussels. "Next steps towards cities as green and connected nodes for urban mobility" was the title of the conference dedicated to transport services, encouraging change, travel methods and integration between data and sustainable logistics.
March 20th, 2025 SERR AwardsThe City of Torino participated in the Italian SERR Awards in Rome (European Week for Waste Reduction) as a finalist for the "Public Administrations" category with the action "
RE-TASTE TORINO | all the taste of circular food in the city", a contest linked to the creation of an anti-waste recipe book and an investigation on the topic of food waste. The initiative is promoted by the Quality, Environment and European Funds divisions and supported by the Department of the Environment and Ecological Transition of the City of Torino.
March 18th - 19th, 2025 European SPOON projectThe City of Torino participated in the first meeting of the European
SPOON project in Wuppertal, an opportunity for discussion on the topic of "food and citizen science", addressed in the various cities of the project.
March 13th, 17th and 24th, 2025 TRIALSNET project trialsAs part of the
TrialsNet project, augmented and virtual reality experiences were tested in Palazzo Madama, Gallery of Modern Art, Renaissance Museum and Pietro Micca Museum. New technologies make spaces such as the Subalpine Parliament and Pietro Micca's underground galleries accessible, offering virtual itineraries rich in content and ideas starting from specific works of art.
March 4th - 6th, 2025 SEED2SCALE project meetingThe City of Torino, leader of the
SEED2SCALE project, participated in the European meeting of the Competence Centers of all Member States which was held in Vilnius for an exchange of knowledge, tools, experiences and good practices between those at European level who contribute to the implementation of the European Social Fund.
February 11th - 13th, 2025 Final forum of the Networks at work projectThe project "Networks at work: shared paths for young people and women in Senegal", of which the City of Torino is a partner, ended in Thiès. Three days of sharing the results obtained and deepening on the theme of access to decent work for young people and women in Senegal.
February 10th - 12th, 2025 Meeting of the Climaborough projectTorino hosted the General Assembly of Climaborough, the European project that promotes innovative solutions for climate transition in cities. For Torino, it was an opportunity to present the two experiments activated on the theme of the circular economy.
February 5th, 2025 Consul General of the Republic of AustriaDeputy Mayor Michela Favaro welcomed the Consul General of the Republic of Austria, Wolfgang Lukas Strohmayer, at the City Hall. The meeting focused on the importance of establishing reciprocal links between cultural foundations and developing relations between professional, commercial and economic organizations.
February 3rd, 2025 Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of LuxembourgDeputy Mayor Michela Favaro met the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Italy, Christophe Schiltz, during a visit to the Honorary Consulate of Torino. It was an opportunity to meet with local institutions to promote new synergies between the two territories.
January 29th –30th, 2025 FEMACT-Cities project meetingThe City of Torino hosted the sixth transnational meeting of the European FEMACT-Cities project, an initiative that promotes gender equality in European cities. During the event, which was attended by Jacopo Rosatelli, Deputy Mayor for Social Policies and Equal Opportunities, the City's services dedicated to gender equality and the fight against violence against women were presented.
