A delegation led by the Mayor of the City of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, visited Torino for the signing ceremony of the Torino–Kharkiv Cooperation Pact, held at the City Hall in the presence of the Consul General of Ukraine in Milan, Volodymyr Vorona, as well as the city's main authorities.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo took part in the event, chaired by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative, Dr. Najat Maalla Mjid, and attended by 80–100 participants from 51 countries, including ministerial representatives, senior policymakers and international partners. Coordinated by the United Nations, the Global Alliance promotes concrete and collaborative actions to prevent and combat violence against children.
The third meeting of the Italy–France Cross-Border Cooperation Committee was held in Aosta. The meeting, co-chaired by Italian Minister Antonio Tajani and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, was attended on behalf of the City of Torino by Deputy Mayor Michela Favaro.
Online seminars on "Local food policies and territorial food systems: tools, practices and perspectives", promoted by the City of Torino and the University of Torino, has begun. The sessions involved Torino and Bethlehem, Jericho, and Beit Jala, within the Akli Baladi project - Local food policies for Italian and Palestinian cities.
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the twinning between Torino and Nagoya, Mayor Lo Russo welcomed a delegation from Nagoya led by Mayor Ichiro Hirosawa and City Council President Hisashi Nishikawa to the CityHall.
The City of Torino hosted the meeting of the Executive Committee of the EFUS network - European Forum for Urban Security and the conference “Deactivating Fear. The use of edged weapons among adolescents. European cities compared, between real phenomenon and moral panic” held at the ITC ILO. Marco Porcedda, Deputy Mayor for Legality and Security of Torino and Willy Demeyer, Mayor of Liège, participated in the event.
A delegation led by the LYU Zhicheng, Mayor of Shenyang, was welcomed at the City Hall by the Vice Mayor Michela Favaro on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the twinning between the City of Torino and the capital of Liaoning Province. The meeting was attended by the Consul General of the People's Republic of China, LIU Kan, and representatives of Chinese diaspora associations in Torino.
The City of Torino organized the international conference "Rivers and cities: dialogue between Torino, Rome and Zaragoza". The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Civil Protection, Public green areas and River Banks, Francesco Tresso, the Deputy Mayor for Agriculture, Environment and Waste Cycle of Rome, Sabrina Alfonsi and Deputy Mayor for the Environment of the City of Zaragoza Tiziana Gaudes for a discussion on policies to enhance the waterways of their respective cities.
A delegation led by the Mayor of the City of Lviv travelled to Torino for the signing ceremony of the Partnership Agreement Torino - Lviv, held at the City Hall in the presence of the Consul General of Ukraine in Milan Andrii Kartysh and the Honorary Consul in Torino Dario Arrigotti, as well as the main city authorities. The three-year pact aims to promote shared values such as democracy, freedom, human rights and social integration by fostering constructive dialogue between the respective communities.
Torino hosted Torino Design City to celebrate the tenth anniversary as UNESCO Creative City of Design. The event included workshops, talks and the Annual Meeting of the Italian Creative Cities, highlighting the role of design as a cultural and economic resource.
At the Salone del Gusto - Terra Madre, the Mayor of Torino Stefano Lo Russo, presided over the signing ceremony of the Protocols of International Cooperation with four partner Cities: Bethlehem (Palestine), Khouribga (Morocco), Louga (Senegal) and Praia (Cape Verde). The event marked a major step forward in Torino’s international relations, strengthening dialogue and collaboration on strategic issues such as sustainability, social inclusion and urban development.
The City of Torino hosted the Social Innovation Lab, organised by the Eurocities network, to discuss strategies for social and accessible housing. The event provided an opportunity for experts and administrators to discuss innovative solutions to tackle the housing crisis in Europe.
A delegation led by the Mayor of Gwangju City traveled to Torino for the signing ceremony of the Cooperation pact Torino - Gwangju, held at the City Hall in the presence of the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Milan, as well as the main local authorities. On the same day, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at MAO between the Gwangju Art Museum and the Fondazione Torino Musei.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo met the Ambassadors of Malaysia and the Philippines and the delegations of the Embassies of Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam who took part in the third edition of TOASEAN Business Days.
