The Deputy Mayor for Sport, Major Events, Tourism and Leisure Domenico Carretta welcomed a delegation led by the Chinese Commercial Consul in Milan and composed of members of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy, representatives of car manufacturers, media and institutions. The delegation is involved in the preparatory work for the “Torino Automotive Design Award”, announced during the Milan Design Week, which aims to promote cooperation between China and Italy in automotive design.
A group of students from various high schools in Nagoya went to Torino for a week of exchange with the students of the Convitto Umberto I High School, as part of the twinning between the two Cities signed in 2005. During their stay, the Japanese students were welcomed at the City Hall for a guided tour of the courtly rooms.
The Chairwoman of the City Council Maria Grazia Grippo welcomed the Consul General of the People's Republic of China, Kan Liu, to the City Hall for an institutional greeting.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo met with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Rome, Abat Fayzullaev. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange on the cooperation between the two countries and to discuss the results of the recent institutional mission of the Mayor of Torino to Tashkent.
Rosanna Purchia, Deputy Mayor for Culture, received a delegation led by the Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China Zhang Kaibin, in Torino for several institutional meetings on cultural matters.
