Mayor Stefano Lo Russo traveled to Rio de Janeiro to attend the 2025 World Summit of Mayors of the global C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group (C40) network, which brings together Mayors from the world's major cities to collaborate and take action against the climate crisis.
The Mayor participated in the panel entitled “Energy transition in practice: decarbonising cities by 2030”, and in the meeting “European Mayors gathered: boosting Europe's role in a changing world”.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo travelled to Japan to take part in the celebrations marking the twentieth anniversary of the friendship between Torino and Nagoya. He also attended the week dedicated to the Piedmont Region at Expo 2025 in Osaka and the official inauguration of the new Tokyo headquarters of the Politecnico di Torino's Japan Hub.

The aim of the mission was to strengthen relations between Torino and Argentina's major cities, promote Torino's role as a hub for innovation, culture, sustainability, tourism, research and higher education, and encourage the creation of academic networks between the Politecnico and local universities.
Deputy Mayor Chiara Foglietta and Director General Alessandra Cimadom attended the presentation in London of the guide ‘Innovation Districts and Local Communities: A Field Guide for Action’, produced by Bloomberg Associates with institutional partners in London. The event brought together administrators, academics, the private sector and local communities to discuss urban development models based on inclusive innovation.
The Deputy Mayor for Security of the City of Torino, Marco Porcedda, and several members of the Local Police travelled to Vilnius to continue their collaboration on urban security issues related to the PACTESUR2 project.

As part of the international Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative programme, Mayor Stefano Lo Russo travelled to New York to speak at the plenary session entitled “Delivering Results for Residents”, where he shared the experience of the City of Torino, awarded the title of European Capital of Innovation by the European Commission in 2024, in the areas of administrative innovation, data use, sustainability and urban regeneration.
The Deputy Mayor for Social Policies and Equal Opportunities, Jacopo Rosatelli, took part in the Budapest Pride March 2025. During the two-day event in the Hungarian capital, he met with the Italian Ambassador Manuel Jacoangeli, the Mayor of Budapest Gergely Karácsony, and with representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, and several European cities.
The City of Torino participated in the sixth edition of the European Cities Forum, held in Krakow. The event provided an opportunity to review European measures and funds dedicated to urban development, fostering discussion and the exchange of best practices among administrators. Mayor Lo Russo inaugurated the session entitled “Inclusive Urban Futures: Driving Growth Through Equity and Opportunity”.
Marco Porcedda, Deputy Mayor for Legality and Security, attended the General Assembly of the European Forum for Urban Security in Gdansk, where the City of Torino's membership in the Executive Committee was officially announced. The event included the final conference of the European project PACTESUR2, dedicated to the protection of public spaces through training and the exchange of local best practices.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo attended the international summit “United for Peace and Security”. While in the Ukrainian capital, he held a series of meetings to emphasise the willingness to engage in international cooperation and show solidarity with the Ukrainian community affected by war.
Mayor Lo Russo joined the first edition of the Arab European Cities Dialogue (AECD) 2025, a platform focused on boosting cooperation between Arab and European cities by promoting dialogue, sharing expertise, and building sustainable urban futures.
Deputy Mayor Michela Favaro took part in a mission to Michigan, organized by the Piedmont Region in collaboration with the Italian Consulate in Detroit, to attend the Business Convention “VTM – Vehicle and Transport Technological Innovation Meetings”. The event was attended by representatives of Piedmontese companies in the automotive and mobility sector, trade associations, universities, Politecnico di Torino and Ceipiemonte.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo led a mission with the President of the Piedmont Region Alberto Cirio and the Rector of the Politecnico di Torino Stefano Corgnati to promote Torino and the Piedmontese territory in Doha. The Mayor spoke in the panel intitled Driving Urban Futures: The Role of Cultural Industries in Shaping Cities as part of the Qatar Creates exhibition and participated in the inauguration of the Superleggera exhibition, created in collaboration with the National Automobile Museum of Torino and the Qatar Auto Museums.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo attended the Urban Days of the OECD, the Global Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, in Paris. The event hosted the 7th Champion Mayors Meeting for Inclusive Growth, in which the Mayors discussed and shared good practices to combat inequalities and promote inclusive economic development.
