The Tips4ped project brings together four cities from four countries to develop scalable technologies and digital strategies for creating positive energy districts (PEDs) in European cities. The partners met in Cork to discuss progress and learn more about the activities carried out by the host city.
Vice Mayor Michela Favaro met with a technical delegation from San Sebastian visiting Torino to learn about the local innovation ecosystem. The delegation met with key stakeholders in the technology, urban regeneration, AI and digital transformation sectors to evaluate possible collaborations between start-ups, research and institutions.

Deputy Mayor Michela Favaro met with a delegation from South American countries, including entrepreneurs, public administration officials, university professors, and collaborators on United Nations projects, in Italy for a Higher Education program focused on the Civil Economy and labor policies.
Marco Porcedda, Deputy Mayor for Legality and Security, attended the General Assembly of the European Forum for Urban Security in Gdansk, where the City of Torino's membership in the Executive Committee was officially announced. The event included the final conference of the European project PACTESUR2, dedicated to the protection of public spaces through training and the exchange of local best practices.
Thanks to its collaboration with the AVEIT – Asociación Vocacional de Estudiantes e Ingenieros Tecnológicos Association of Córdoba and its twinning with the Argentine city, the City of Torino welcomed a delegation of engineering students and recent graduates, accompanying them on study visits dedicated to technological innovation and the automotive sector.
As part of the four-year Woodcirclesinnovation project, the City of Torino attended a meeting with partners visiting several wooden buildings and discussing future plans.
Mayor Stefano Lo Russo attended the international summit “United for Peace and Security”. While in the Ukrainian capital, he held a series of meetings to emphasise the willingness to engage in international cooperation and show solidarity with the Ukrainian community affected by war.
The City of Torino took part in the Eurocities General Assembly, where the ToNite project received the Eurocities “Inspiring City Initiative” award, after being voted as the favourite by the network's members.
As part of the PACTESUR2 project, the City of Torino hosted the EU Academy, an initiative of the Torino Local Police aimed at enhancing skills, promoting the exchange of best practices and experimenting with innovative solutions for urban security and the strengthening of local police forces in Europe.
A delegation from Lviv travelled to Torino to learn about the city's educational initiatives and best practices through meetings and technical visits with local stakeholders.
Mayor Lo Russo welcomed Nuriddin Kushnazarov, Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Italy, along with Olimjon A. Tuychiev, Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, and representatives of UzAuto Motors — the Uzbek government's car manufacturing company — who were visiting Torino with the aim of establishing economic and industrial partnerships with local businesses.
As part of the Torino iCapital's Torino EIC Days initiative, the city welcomed Michiel Scheffer, the chairman of the European Innovation Council (EIC) steering committee, to CTE NEXT. This involved two days of immersion in the local ecosystem, including deep tech, research centres, universities, accelerators and investors.
The City of Torino has taken part in a peer-learning visit organised as part of the European Heritage Hub project, a unique opportunity to share best practices and acquire skills to address environmental, digital and social challenges related to cultural heritage in local contexts.
The City of Torino participated in the transnational meeting of the European Femact-Cities project. During the meeting, the Slovenian city presented its gender equality policies, and all partners provided updates on their progress in developing Integrated Action Plans on the issue.
